i need help picking out an activity. it's for a person that has low vision. so the requirements are: not a lot of fast paced action (movement) to follow, seated or standing (not walking around), one-person following the instructor (as opposed to groups involving hands on contact).
i thought of some form of martial arts that isn't hands on or some form of meditation/yoga type thing. if there are programs that are like what i need, please let me know what they are about or called and i'll look it up. all other suggestions welcome (except the stupid ones about being blind that someone will inevitably post…tape your eyes shut for a day, then we'll talk). and the person is in very good physical condition and is still young, if that matters.
thanks.|||I would suggest meditation.
A blind person always suffers in silence due to his physical incapacity. Meditation will help him to get over this.
If he really concentrates on meditation and is able to open his chi channels and open his third eye he will not need the real physical eyes. He will able to see the world more than others.
To start meditation try,

They have a free book named 'The Basic Method of Meditation'. Get a print out of it. Follow every word in it.|||how about chess? Meditation and yoga are also excellent ideas. Drawing or painting?|||Ti chi is slow moving martial arts, very good for the body.
